Streets of LA

Some weeks ago, I went on an errand to Los Angeles to visit some stores for potential interview venues for the “White Girls in Hip-Hop: The Documentary.” The building behind me is De La Barracuda. The really cool thing about De La Barracuda is that their store also holds boxing classes. Yes, you read that right, boxing classes. Boxing is actually on my “things-to-do-before-I-die-list” aka “bucket list.” While talking to the owner, he was saying how many people actually did interviews there and Lupe Fiasco is a good friend of theirs. He said that Lupe Fiasco is wearing some De La Barracuda gear in some of his music videos. Pretty legit.

Oh yeah, I was strayed away from what I meant to talk about. The outfit I have on here is pretty much a gathering of new and old things. The heeled-combat boots are from Bakers. The fedora (from Forever 21) is actually something I’ve owned since probably 2006 or 2007. The high waisted pants and small, peach bag are from Forever 21. Feather earrings and ring are also from Forever 21. The green, polka dotted top and vest was from Love Culture. Just kinda threw this on and voila!

Stores:
Forever 21
Love Culture
Bakers
De La Barracuda
