Ever have one of those days where you feel like getting dressed up but there’s no where in particular to go?
That’s what happened to me last Sunday. After I attended church via Live Stream – I watched Minister Louis Farrakhan speaking live at a church in Chicago – I decided to spend the day perusing a few of my favorite thrift stores. However, jeans and a top simply wouldn’t suffice, I wanted to get dressed!
It must have been my intuition guiding me because as soon as I finished shopping, my mother randomly called me to join her and my sister for a late lunch. What’s even weirder is that one the way out, I had grabbed my leopard print Steve Madden pumps in hopes of getting a chance to wear them… Guess everything worked out in my favor that day! ;)

PLEASE READ: As many of you already know, besides being a fashion blogger for Lipstick, Lace & Lattes, I’m also a journalist and writer for VIBE Magazine and TheWellVersed.com. Well, I’m pleased to announce that as of last month, I can now officially add “Columnist” to my resume! I started a monthly column called “The God Quest” that’s actually more of a journey than a column. Not only does it document my current personal quest to find myself (and religion), but it also explores the unique relationship between Hip-Hop culture and religion. It’s something that I’m very passionate about and I hope all you loyal LLL readers will be as well.
Please check out “Revelations, Rap & Religion”, the first piece from “The God Quest” here: http://thewellversed.com/?p=48288
