Sticky-icky. Roll it up, sweat. Sweat, then roll it up at the Rock the Bells set!
This past weekend, August 18-19, I had the pleasure of attending Rock the Bells (RTB), one of the most anticipated Hip-Hop festivals of the summer. Not only was I able to attend, but just like Paid Dues and the SmokeOut Festival earlier this year, I was also tasked with representing TheWellVersed.com and interviewing some of my favorite rappers! Thanks to The Well Versed’s Editor-In-Chief, Andreas Hale, on day one of RTB, I was able to interview Eve, one of my favorite female rappers of all time, as well as Curren$y, one of my favorite male rappers of all time, ! Yes, dreams definitely came true that day!
Now if you’re not familiar with the area – San Bernardino, Calif. (where RTB was hosted) – skyrockets in the summer! I mean, its that kind of sticky-icky, unbearably hot weather where you sweat without even moving. Definitely not pleasant, definitely over 105 degrees, and in this kind of weather, the best thing you can do is try to dress as cool as possible. Therefore, to make the best of it, I paired a strappy crop top with one of my favorite flowing, long skirts (you may remember it from a previous post). However, since it was a Hip-Hop event (and since I would be chilling back stage with rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Curren$y and whoever else happened to be in the backstage/ trailer area), I decided to spruce up the outfit with all gold jewelry. No costume jewelry either, just pretty, gold and shiny baby!
Stay locked to LLL to find out what I wore on day two, as well as catch exclusive interviews with Eve and Kid Ink on their favorite designers and signature fashion style!
