Frederick’s 67th Anniversary – “Love Black Lingerie” Campaign!

Bonjour Lattes! I’ve never been so excited to see a Thursday! Why is that you ask? Because today marks the start of the official Frederick’s of Hollywood “Love Black Lingerie” campaign and moi – yours truly, Bella Graham – is one of four bloggers asked to be apart of it!! Fantastique!

Now many of you may not know it, but in 1946, Frederick’s of Hollywood was actually the FIRST lingerie retailer to introduce black lingerie to the U.S.! Prior to that, only white and nude lingerie peices were sold, and black was considered very risque and only sold in Europe. Therefore, in celebration of the wonderful 67 years of black lingerie sexiness, Frederick’s of Hollywood is hosting an online pop-up shop featuring Frederick’s favorie black lingerie pieces and all the items in the shop will 20 percent off! AND that’s not all! Here’s where I come in:

To show the evolution of black lingerie and how far it really has come (from its days of being taboo), Frederick’s asked 4 west coast fashion bloggers – one of which includes yours truly – to participate in a “Black Lingerie Blogger Challenge!” To get the ball rolling, Frederick’s allowed me to select three of my favorite black lingerie pieces from their website and then shipped them to me to style as outwear. Then, I enlisted the help of my fabulous photographer friend, Kevin Wade, to help me capture the images and relayed them over to Frederick’s. Now, not only will my styled looks be featured on LLL, but on Frederick’s website and social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) as well! I am so honored! Thank you so much FOH and Candice for bringing me in on this, and great work to the other bloggers, Hapa Time and A Fab Life!

Oh and if you haven’t visited my other blog, Love & Biscotti, by now, it’s high time you checked it out!

Look #1: “Floral Lace Bodysuit“:
This body suit is so sexy – and curve-hugging – that I knew I needed a skirt that was equally up to par. Therefore, I chose to pair it with a thrifted vintage belt and fitted skirt so a look that’s “ready for the night.”

Vintage Frederick’s advertisement that I didn’t even see until after my photo-shoot! Look how similar our poses are!

Look #2: “New Hollywood Sweetheart Dream Corset
This is another sexy piece but it can also be causal too. For this look, I decided to incorporate a little bit of urban couture or “street wear” by adding a snapback hat, jeans and a blazer.

Outfit Details:
Corset: Frederick’s of Hollywood
Snapback: Popular Demand
Jeans: 7 for All Mankind
Blazer: Thrifted
Pumps: Cathy Jean

Look #3: “Fringe & Feather Babydoll
This top is another fun and flirty look that can be worn out to the club or some other nighttime adventure. Similiarly to the lace bodysuit, again I paired the top with a vintage, suede skirt for my typical Bella-esque appeal.

Outfit Details:
Babydoll: Frederick’s of Hollywood
Vintage Suede Skirt: Thrifted
Pumps: Cathy Jean
Cocktail Ring: Thrifted
Earrings: Thrifted

Once again, special thanks to Candice of Frederick’s of Hollywood. I am really honored that you selected me to be apart of this amazing celebration and I had an amazing time participating. Also, thank you Kevin. Your photography work is beyond words!
