You know, I think I just needed a little inspiration from somewhere other than behind a computer or phone screen. I realized the connections I made this past weekend, whether they were new or old friends, were truly inspiring. Connecting with people has always been enjoyable. I guess in the times that I haven’t been posting I’ve been just growing and trying to figure things out. As anyone in the world can only do, right?

Overtime, it started to feel like I was putting others before my own needs and wants. At the same time, I know that the number one answer for inconsistencies are excuses. Things like self-doubt and lack of confidence play a major roll in some flaws that I know I posses.

Then I realize the worry is just all in my head. Distraction is also an excuse. It’s much more rewarding to be able to discipline yourself and follow through. To each his own journey and that’s the best part. To embrace your own journey for what it is- WITH the lows and the highs.

I’ve been playing chess with this world. The game has been going on for 30 years now. I’ll keep trying my best each step forward.

I’ve really been exploring neighboring cities right under my nose. It’s been really fun strengthening old friendships and finding new hidden gems in the city too. This was a shoot we had for, of course, with my radio Co-Hosts Jae Rose and Lindsey Duz It. Our favorite photographer, Michael ‘Mac’ Cruz, took some fun shots of us.
