To all of my loyal readers who may have wondered how exactly “gifting” is handled in the blogging world, if there are any guidelines, if fashion bloggers actually purchase the items that they wear or if they simply feature them in exchange for receiving free items, please allow me to set the record straight. While many bloggers do “feature” items in exchange for money and/ or merchandise, here at LLL, I like to stick to a simple code of ethics. As fashion bloggers (and stylists), I do get offered free items from time to time, and in return I might mention the brand or store (with a link) on LLL. However, just because someone OFFERS something for free doesn’t mean I will TAKE it. I have turned down many offers – and features – because I felt that it simply didn’t fit the brand, style or how I personally see myself. I will only accept items that I truly love and would actually buy for myself, and most of the clothes that I wear are purchased with my own funds.

However, in lieu of transparency, all items that I receive for free in exchange for mentioning them on LLL will say “c/o,” which means “Courtesy of” in blogging jargon. As for sponsored posts, the same requirements apply. I will only do sponsored posts under the right circumstances.
